I have got a 910 with out the SD card, and I can not get it to turn on. When i plug in power i get the grean light on, but that is it.

Any idears?

Have you pressed the reset button inside a tiny hole on the bottom (with a pin)?


After that, try switching it on by holding the on/off button down for at least three to four seconds.

If that doesn't fix it, if you have access to a DC voltmeter, check the voltage on the plug of the EVERY charger you have used. It should be no more than 5 Volts (a standard fault of the car charger is that it goes high output, putting 12 Volts up the TomTom - Boom.

Or you'll get the same result if you accidentally use the WRONG power adapter (for a mobile phone?) that isn't actually 5 V output.

Connect it to the PC so the green light is on indicating charging and leave it over night in this state, if the battery is very low the hard drive won't spin up and the device will appear dead, give it a decent charge and try again, after this if it still doesn't work it is probably defective - Mike

The 910 doesn't USB Charge.

It can be Mains Charged in the Desktop Cradle though.

If you hold it close to your ear, you can hear the Hard Drive spin up.
