Installed TT Home latest (2.1.2.121 as of today). Updated the software on mt TTO (original) to latest 7.x.

Bought the new UK 710 map. Payment authorised. It did say downloading... for a while, but there was no activity on my line. Then Error (which I seem to get many of).

No map. Nothiong downloaded. When I click on Maps again, it offers to sell it to me again!

I have received an email confirming payment was authorised. And another with my invoice. And the website under MyOrders shows it as completed.

So where's my map? Device still has v605.

No sign of an email with manual download instructions and TTHome seems to have lost the fact that I've already paid.

Am I missing something?

I went for the UK map a week or so ago. It downloaded without any problem.
But when I looked at the tom tom the map was still the old western europe. had to switch using change preferences then manage maps then switch map.
If you cant find the map on the tom tom drive it sounds like your broadband was playing up at thr time.

You've read all the other posts on the forum about problems downloading this map I assume?

I read any sticky's that coulld have been appropriate. Nothing there. I read through the most recent 4 pages of topics. Nothing there I noticed.

I too hate clueless newbies who don't check the FAQ, but I didn't think I was in that category :-O

p.s. have found people having trouble with the actual download, but my problem is that TTH says there are no updates.

Go to the TomTom website.
Login with the acount details that you used to buy the map.
Go to "my tomtom"»"my maps".
See if the map you bought is there.
If its there, check if in tomtom home you are logged in(just in case you missed that).
If all above checks, and you still cant get home to offer you the map, call the support line(dont use email)

Ahh! Under My Maps, "Currently you do not own any maps."

I had previously logged a support ticket but I took your advice and phoned. 15 minutes later (on an 0845 number!), all was sorted.

TVM for the great advice.
