I thought it was worth starting a new topic just for posting the changes in the new maps as people find them.

Used the new W&CE maps in navigation mode for the first time today, and one definite improvement.

No more 'High Street Colliers' and 'Main Road Earls'!

Thorney bypass has made it to the teleatlas maps!

(it may have been on 7.05 but even then they were about 2 years late)

Maps now include the slip road from A5460 to southbound M1 J21.

Still tells me to keep right when going north pass J21 though

Hi,

Sorry if this has been asked/answered elsewhere, but are the v7 Western Europe seamless maps still Navteq maps?

Tony

Thats by design. Any motorway to motorway connections are announced this way. The M69 Sliproad is obviously motorway, so its just telling you that.

Whether you like it or not, is up to you, but there is a reason for it.

That does make sense, but M1-M69 isn't a slip road. You come off the M1 and turn left on the roundabout

My GO 720 has just started downloading the map guarantee 7.10 map for North America (it's a USA model) one pretty dumb thing is it didn't offer a 'North_America_2GB' map as shipped originally, but instead offered the 'North_America' map (1.8 GB) so I needed to delete two of the computer voices for it to fit in the paltry 2GB on the system......
Hopefully it should all work when done......... (glad I have a back up in case!)

Isn't that a definition of a slip road? Confused

Thats a junction, a slip road goes direct M1 to M69

im sure I replied to this thread.

TomTom will alert you whenever motorways merge or demerge.

Because there is a sliproad from the M69 direct to the M1, it says keep right.

It may also say keep right/left as the A46 leaves at 21A, as it is classed as motorway until the first junction.

Quote:
A highway ramp (as in exit ramp and entrance ramp) or slip road is a short section of road which allows vehicles to enter or exit a freeway (motorway).
