No, the new road is on the NavTeq map 675.1322, but not on the TeleAtlas 675.1409

It is only officially available as shipped with a rider v2 Euro.

ALL downloaded maps are Teleatlas.

On my WE_CE map V675.1409 the A249 is shown going over water near to the railway line, similar to whats show on Google maps.
The Navteq map has in addition a smaller road called "Sheppey Way" nearer to the railway bridge.

My map looks the same as it does on Google Earth. Looks pretty new to me.

Hasn't that bridge on Google Earth been there for years?

However, the OP said "..new road bridge is shown on to the A249"
Not sure what he means by "on to"
I'd post a pic but I've no idea how to do that from TT on a PDA.

Apologies for the strange colour scheme; this is one of my test devices.

Isn't that the old road?
Theres a completely new road bridge to the northwest which is marked as A249 on the 675 map.
The new navteq map shows the old road as well.

Has the new bridge replaced the old?
The style of the bridge shown in the "scenic photo" on Google Earth doesn't look new.
Live Search only shows one bridge here. It seems to be a lifting section (from the shadow).

Looking at Wikipedia, that is the Kingsferry Bridge. The new bridge, The Sheppey Crossing, was completed and opened on 3 July 2006. Have a look here.

It appears that the old bridge remains.

As I said in my original post, NavTeq 675.1322 shows the new bridge as well as the old. I saw it on a friend's Rider - don't know if you can buy that version for any other device. But if you said you had a Rider before downloading, it might work!

Hi BGF
The new bridge has replaced the old lifting bridge for everyday use but the old bridge can still be used during periods of high winds when the new one is too high for high sided vehicles. The new one is very steep and I would probably prefer the old one all the time.
