I bought the new TomTom Rider V2 from MNC (my new cheap etc) and it is clearly marked as UK and Ireland version as I had ordered.

The map that came with it though is Western Europe.

Now does that mean I have a bargain or (as I am unlikely to take my scooter outside the UK) is it really an unnecessary extra amount of addresses for the unit to cope with?

Would I be better off with the Regional map Question
Cheers

Gordon

This is TT website page for maps. Have a look see which you've got. If you've got the whole of Western Europe (including UK) at Street level mapping, at Regional price, you certainly have got a bargain. The Europe bit may just be "Major Roads of Europe", not street level, which would be "normal" for a regional map.

It's definitely the complete map of Western Europe as it is over 900MB in size as opposed to the 250MB of UK map.

The mistake must have been made in manufacturing as the box was completely sealed when I got it.

Don't under any circumstances use it, it will damage your TomTom. Send it to me and I will swap it for a proper UK map out of the goodness of my own heart. Laughing
