Will a WAAS enabled GPS pick up EGNOS?

Hy,

I'm in the process of choosing my first GPS receiver for my Toshiba E740 PDA and would like to purchase one that is EGNOS enabled, but I have found many references to WAAS ones, and only a few to EGNOS or WAAS/EGNOS.

Are they the same thing but just under different names in North America and Europe? Will a WAAS receiver work with the upcomming EGNOS signal?

So it's safe to buy WAAS enabled GPS (I'm currently looking ant Magelans) in USA and it will work properly in Europe ?
