Hi,
I have just bought a tomtom one V2. I just took it for a trip to london, this was the main reason i bought it, because of the all the confusing roads in london. Anyway while we were in london, the tomtom all of sudden said we were in the wrong direction and started to reroute, even though we were following the direction exactly.

Also it seemed to take weird long routes telling us to go across one side of the bridge and then come back on the other side of the bridge, when we could have just turned left.

Anyway else had this sort of trouble, is it the tomtom or just my one?

thanks
rockinter

Thats sat nav in general, not specific to your TomTom....... tall buildings reflect the GPS signals causing the symptoms you describe.

I've found an external aerial helps especially in areas like central London. The difference between using it and not using it is substantial in my Clio. My car does have an anthermic windscreen though which may make the difference more apparent.

I never need to bother anywhere else, but in central London the external aerial is a must have for me.

Also DO NOT ASSUME ITS GIVING YOU A LEGAL ROUTE !
You should make sure you observe any traffic signs regarding any turnings it tells you to take as it often tries to get me to take a 'No Right Turn' or 'No Left Turn' or 'No Entry' etc etc
