tomtom go 910 stuck on the boot up screen

tap the screen then select Change Preferences/ Show ALL menu options this will reveal the four pages that TomTom decided to hide, the icon you need will now be available on page 7 - Mike

My 910 did exactly this after I tried to install new maps.

I fixed it like this:
Connect to your PC and enable disk mode.
Copy everything off the 910 onto your PC
(I also ran a backup in TTHome to be sure).
Stop TTHome
Format the 910's disk (yes, homestly)
Copy all the folders back to the go.
Restart TTHome, make sue the go is connected then press ctrl F8
Latest app will be downloaded and installed.

Disconnect the go and it will restart properly (mine did).
