Hi! I am running TT Nav5 on an XDA Mini S. I have just added the speed camera database. I am now looking for a silent voice so that the camera warnings are still audible without voice directions.

I would be very grateful if anyone could tell me where to get a silent voice, and also give me a step by step guide as to how to install.

Many thanks in advance! Smile

I don't think you need to add a separate 'silent voice'. Just don't install all of the standard voices, and select an uninstalled one as your 'silent' voice. I've just got Jane installed, so I select her when I want spoken directions. I haven't got Tim installed but he still appears in the voice menu (greyed out) - I select Tim when I don't want spoken directions. You get a brief warning flash up ('You did not select a usable voice!'), but it successfully silences the instructions.

Correct, but I suggest you check your sound volume first,to make sure you happy with the bells and gongs etc., as you can't do it without the voice command on.....then 'grey out' the voice.

Thanks, that is a brilliant suggestion! Will give it a try.

Thanks to all above, sorry Tim for the double posting!
