Mine has been missing for months and still OK.

I can remember this coming up on the DS forum and somebody wrote in to say they had been through floods and it was still OK.

The perspex is so thin and fragile, i'm not sure what it does, other than carry the DS logo.

Hi All

The Window / Cover is purely cosmetic and is not required at all as the components inside are totally water proof as it is an encapsulated unit.

The down side is that if it gets broke it is broke for good as it is unserviceable unless you have a way of removing the encapsulation, it gets a bit messy though.

The Pulsemaster is a simple unit which is just an amplifier consisting of very few components that captures the laser at a greater distance.

So do not worry that the window has gone missing in fact it is better without it as the road dirt that is captured behind it will clean off easier without it.

Drive safely Wink
