Well for me it's all in the first sentance.
Quote: | Encyclopaedia Britannica has sued Dutch navigation systems company TomTom and two other companies, contending they infringed on its patents for a computerized map system. |
Encyclopaedia Britannica are basically saying the invented a mpa system and patented it, then TomTom and 2 other companies copied it or used parts it code to make their product. |

There are two possible things to say.
First is that piracy is wrong and Britannica says Tom Tom have pirated their ideas, so they should be stopped from doing it.
Second is that Britannica think they can make some money by saying Tom Tom have pirated their ideas, so they should PAY for it.
I don't know which. _________________ Dennis

It seems to be the same old faces posting on different threads.
What are you doing Stargate2006. Are you trying to go for a record on new threads?
Back to the topic.........
It seems to me that whether you are a private individual or a Company, someone some where, seems to think it is their right to try and go for a slice of it, "it it looks as if you are good for a few bob".
I think that some of these large Companies, have teams of laywers, doing nothing else but scanning the market to find a financially beneficial opening or loophole to justify their existance. _________________ TomTom Go 60

Be careful cleaning the swimming pool Stargate. Today is a bit dangerous for that sort of job - I fell out of a tree I was cutting and lost my glasses and keys and broke the steel strap of my incredibly expensive watch. _________________ Dennis

I am fine DennisN,
I have cleaning my swimming pool for 17 years at my house.
Sorry to hear you have fall off the tree broke your expensive watch and lost your glasses, you should use a tall ladder for that to cut the tree.
Anyone's fancy coming down in Essex to my house to cut my grass and henge on half mile area garden
Wish build a brinkwall and use pavemant stone to get rid of the grass and henge to cut the work down a bit, it a bit too much for me, I am getting too old for this.

Did you never hear the words - "You are nearer God's heart in a garden, than anywhere else on earth"? If you don't want too much grass, build a large fishpond to use the space and put up a nice summer house to sit in. _________________ Dennis

OK
One more note I will get back to topic after that ok Elder.
Yes DennisN, I have already has a large big fishpond and summer cabinet house here on my garden, I know, the garden grass and henge is lovely but is a pain in the A** of too much job to do, need to cut down with few brinkwall and pavement ground stone for less work of stress.
Ok Elder, blah, blah, blah, blah, back to topic now
