Just to add my bit, anybody who says they don't speed and have any sort of speed camera detector is a liar. We all know why we have these detectors, pretty obvious really.

Anyway does anybody have any ogg files for the DS as that voice is really getting on my nerves now.

As when I download the new pgpsw database to my DS I would really like to change the voice.

Regards

Hi Tim,

Not sure where the above creeps in, but although as you say if we have a camera detector you must speed - agreed, but to me, jumping red lights is a strict no no.

In my area and i'm sure its the same elsewhere, there has been many school kids killed from drivers jumping the lights and there seems to be flowers at most lights.
I feel this is worse than doing 120mph down the motorway.

I still feel the red light camera database is important as there are other ways of getting caught other than speeding.

Now i am opening myself up to comments.

No idea but you can't break it by trying. I do recall the DS was fussy about the file sizes and sample quality though.

I hope I have done this copy of your quote correctly, as I have never done it before.

Anyhow, sorry GJF misunderstood the above quote, I thought you were discussing persons complaining about people speeding as a whole. Anyhow I totally agree with your thoughts regarding red lights. Yes, anybody who runs a red light deserves everything they get, as it is very much Russian roulette with there own lives and everybody else's lives approaching the lights, either as a driver or a pedestrian.

Regards

Tim

Well with the Pogo returned I will have to try installing pocketgps's database on the drive-smart now. What's the view out there amongst you teckies. Is it best to install it as an additional database along side the DS one or to replace the DS one entirely??

I've fixed it for you Smile

Just click 'Quote' on the post you wish to Quote from and then if you wish to edit the quote to remove extraneous stuff, just delete the text as necessary but retain the
Code:
[quote="user"]
at the beginning of the quoted text and the
Code:
[/quote]
at the end. Smile

Personal choice here, but for me I have found that replacing the DS with pgpsw works best - at the moment.

I didn't have a lot of confidence on the DS database, but although i prefer the pgpsw version wish to have the blackspots and red lights added and of course get the Specs fully sorted to be completely happy.
If the above items aren't added i might have to add the DS database back on to get back to full protection.

The DS does not support OGG files.

You need to create wav files in the correct format.
