Does anyone have any idea if / when the now software revision / quick fix facility will be available for the 300/500/700 series?

It sounds a very useful upgrade.

Get the same ‘QuickGPSfix’ data by simply connecting to any TomTom PLUS service, using a wireless data connection (GO 910 and 510 only).

Thanks for pointing that out, BGF! Didn't notice that before. I'll have to check if it seems to work on the ONE or not.

Last night on the ONE I tried connecting to the weather service. This morning it still took about 50 seconds to get a fix, so I guess for the ONE it seems you have to connect to the USB. Not a big deal, but silly nonetheless.

There is not one on mine and it still seems to be working okay.

Although, not that I have noticed much difference in the quickness from first switch on.
But then again it was always pretty reasonable to begin with where I live.

On my ONE v1 App v6.560 there is a greyed out option 'Disable Auto QuickGpsFix' under TomTom Plus services on the Main Menu (Page 3 of 5 on mine), then go to the second screen and click on 'Download more'. After it has connected to the TomTom server over gprs I get a screen that shows 'Disable Auto QuickGpsFix' and 'Download Colour Scemes'.

Download Colour Scemes works but Disable Auto QuickGpsFix is greyed out and not selectable.

I haven't noticed any difference on start-up either.

I too have not noticed any benefits with the QGPSF, took 20+ seconds to find satellites lunchtime today.

Mine was really fast at first, but lately it's been 30-40 seconds even after updating the data.

Glad I'm not alone then !

Mine now seems less sensitive and I cannot get a fix in places I used to. Outside or very near a window is fine.

Further Info on my GPSFix problem:

Originally, after the latest software installed (6.560), my unit took over a minute to get a fix.

Last weekend, after connecting my TomTom One v1 to TTHome I got the popup to download the GPSFix 'data'.

After this data has been downloaded my TT1 is now performing the GPSFix as I think it is supposed to.

I can only assume that in my case, when the upgraded software was installed it did not download the satellite data at that time but waited for a later connection ?

I read over at yournav.com that the previous update was screwy and didn't improve fix times. The latest update is fast again. I usually have a satellite lock by the time it's finished starting up.
