Would appreciate any ideas on this problem. Have had TTN2 since last August with very few problems. However today I could not get any satellites to lock - I had 8 of them greyed out on the GPS page during a 50 minute drive but that was all that happened.
The only thing I've changed since the last time I used it is that I upgraded the Speed Camera database to the new version......but I can't see that can have any bearing on the problem. _________________ Tony

The speed camera database wouldn't make any difference whatsoever. I suspect the GPS has had a glitch, and it may have lost or have an incorrect almanac which will mean a 12.5+ min download/fix. This can happen sometimes, and you will have problems receiving this when downloading, it's best to do this when stationary. |

No problem Tony, I'm glad you find it of good use! :D
I have had a few probllems recently with losing the almanac on GPS Receivers, several of the newer ones I'm testing. Unfortunately there's no real reason as to why this happens, but I have found myself although a GPS has worked 8 hours prior, finding that it can take 20 mins to re-fix the position when you start out. In most cases this problem won't occur, and you should be trouble free, but you may find this happening now and again. |
