Not really. Technically one could write a program that mimicks the TomTom data format, and then get the feed from somewhere else (TMC etc) but that is way too much of an effort.

Maybe TomTom will offer the TMC antenna for the 700, but I wouldn't hold my breath for that.

Given the pain suffered by just about everyone with a TomTom TMC receiver, me included, I suggest you stick to the GPRS service. The data comes from the same place, ITIS, and is about the only source for the UK.

There are 2 sources of traffic data in the UK, not one (iTIS Holdings and Trafficmaster). However, most manufacturers only support 1 of the 2 companies, which limits you to a single supplier based on your SatNav unit.

Yes. I agree. I used my free trial this time last year. Every day I updated a ticket I had open with them about the data they provided. It was basiclaly pants. I'd get reports of road works/lane closed where there were no problems (One in particular outside work that was listed for WEEKS that was non-existant), and others where the TT said no problems (M1, around Nottingham way) that I was stuck in for 3 hours (And managed to move only 100 metres in that time).
They just continually said they were checking with their supplier. In the end I decided that 50 euros was far too much to pay for such dodgy info. I could have gotten better by looking out the window & tossing a coin.

Apparently not...

I'd ask for my money back if I were you. Under the sales of goods act. Maybe if more people did, they'd improve their service to be at least usable. But I found over the course of 2 months that it was NEVER correct... (e.g. Roadworks on the M4 J8/9 for the whole time, that weren't listed. Phantom roadworks on the A4 near Heathrow. Accidents that don't appear till after they're cleared).
