Have you installed the native Navman driver for that jacket?

Hi
Yeh i installed the NAVMAN_3.1.6 driver from

http://www.123farmworks.com/downloads.htm

It installs the drivers for the gps and activesync helps install it over to the pda itself and it completes no problem.
When i go to the folder on the pda i get a gps set up screen with 2 options
gps comm settings which is on V8.60 2003-02-26

com 5
baud rate is 57600
data bits 8
parity none
stop bits 1
And the port is open

2ND is start configuration NMEA

when i click on start configuration it says changing to binary protocol and does nothing

Nut when i change the com to 6 and keep the rest the same theres a load of letter and numbers where are being constantly updated any ideas?

Are these letters and numbers readable (starting with $GPRMC for example? Or is it all gibberish? Can you post a screenshot?

Hi
Yes they do start like that m8 like this

$GPGLL,00006506,N04249,7291,E1655
And it keeps going but when i click ok to get out of the folder it resets itself to com 5

If you need a screen shot where would i be able to post the jpeg to not sure if you can attatch here?

No need for screenshots - this looks like a healthy NMEA stream, exactly what you need.

After you exited the Navman configurator (and it seemingly reverted back to COM5) - have you tried to use the TomTom GPS applet and select

NMEA 0183v2 57600
COM6:

and then enabled the check box?

1.50? That ain't gonna work. Get the latest driver from the TomTom site. 2.08 or 2.09. I believe they also include support for COM6:

glad to hear that. The Navman 1000 is one of the older receivers, so don't expect any miracles. Try to give the antenna plenty of sky view, but you may still see occasional fix losses.

Too late i sold the cf expansion pack and bought a navman 3450 for use with the ipaq just going to put my navman 1000 gps up for sale on ebay as they selling for about £100
Its too much weight to stick in your pocket and walk around Laughing Out Loud so i opted for a upgrade a bit earlier Laughing Out Loud Rolling Eyes
