Hi,

I found a site which gave ideal distances to set at each speed (basically for the speed cameras POIs).

Anyone remember it please?

I just add a zero to the speed concerned so 30mph becomes 300yards etc. It seems to work well.

Thats what I did, but at the higher speeds (60/70) its sometimes a bit tight for my liking (even at the speed limit, honest guv!).

The site I'm on about was quite specific, and gave the time in seconds to put in, for a 15 second warning, 30 second warning or 45 seconds.

Oh well if nobody knows it maybe I was dreaming. I'll stick with x10 for now.

Thanks Mike, Thats the site I had seen in the first place!

I couldn't (And still can't) see it linked to from the cameras page though? I had to find it through google based on your post.

Thanks again

Mph - 30s - 20s - 15s – 10 secs warning.

70 - 1173- 782 - 587 - 391 yards
60 - 1026- 684 - 513 - 342
50 - 879 - 586 - 440 - 293
40 - 732 - 488 - 366 - 244
30 - 588 - 392 - 294 - 196
20 - 441 - 294 - 221 - 147

For a 30 second warning at 70mph = 1026 yards. Obviously the warning is only needed if you are exceeding the limit. So I have used 1173 yards which is actually a 30 second warning if you are travelling at 80mph, the same applies throughout the range.
