Hi

I have just changed from TT700 to TT910. Although my Sony Ericsson K800i is not in the list as compatable with TT700, all features worked. (inc SMS)

I have now set up the TT910, but cannot send or receive SMS on the TT910.

Does anyone know if this is going to be added later, does it not do it or am i just being stupid and not doing things right.

The other thing is, when i set up Wireless stuff, it does not list the k800i, yet the 910 recognises it as a K800i...dur.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Stevex

I have exactly the same phone and TomTom and I also cannot send or receive SMS. Hands-free calls works fine.

I did post on here about it a couple of months ago, but no joy.

I contacted Vodafone - they just looked on the TomTom site and said the phone wasn't supported. I contacted TomTom - pointing out it's a brand new phone and that all the other SonyEricsson phones work - they just said it wasn't supported. They didn't say when they were going to check it out or add support or anything. Both were useless tbh.

The only other thing I could think to do, unless someone here knows the settings, is to contact SonyEricsson - but I haven't done that yet.

Hi

Thanks for that. I was looking on YOURNAV.COM and found a post that said....

Unpair your phone and TT and start again. Go through the pairing set up between TT and K800i. It will tell you what it can do, but no mention of SMS.

When you get to the Wireless set up,,,,SAY NO, and don't set that up. You should then be able to send and receive SMS.

I tried it last night and it works. Depends on what is most important to you, SMS or Wireless data stuff.

Steve,

Did you get the wireless data stuff working on your K800i? Mine gets to 50% complete when trying to determine the features of the phone and gives up.

Cheers

Hi

I got some of the wireless stuff working, but then cancelled it in favour of SMS. As i read in another forum, sometimes the SMS stop working too. After i turned off my TT, i could no longer send SMS. So, i re paired the phone without unpairing it first and it worked again, BUT, only with certain numbers. No comment link between problems though.
I have been emailing TT too.

I also sent emails about other things to the strange alien fella on the planet 45 light years beyond Pluto about the teeth flossong abilities of heavy link chain....YES you guessed, he was far more helpful than Tomtom....
