Make sure your i3 is set to avoid unpaved roads as well....... _________________ -----------------------------------

You are right, the routing can be very strange. I need to spend more time comparing my TomTom with my i3.
Last week I did a 20 mile route. I chose the quickest. The i3 had me going down some tiny country lanes - the ones with the grass growing down the middle. I checked it later with TomTom and that took me the route i would have chosen - mainly A or fast B roads.
I've also noticed that I nearly always arrive quicker than the TomTom predicted time. So far with the i3, the predicted time seems to increase.
The only thing missing on the i3 which I would really like to have is the number of miles to the destination. With TomTom its interesting to see how a route my take a minute or two longer but is 5-8 miles shorter.
Can't complain though, the i3 for £99 is a great piece of kit.

Yeah but the Nuvi 360 costs £400+ and it has similar issues. |
