Navman PiN 570

I'm taking the first step into GPS and I curious to know if the Navman PiN 570 is capable of real time navigation - for example can I enable the GPS and have it show my position for a non planned journey - where i know the area reasonable well but need an occasional reference or can the GPS only be used with pre-planned routes ?

Hi Ethan,

I have a PiN 570 and yes once it has a GPS fix, the road map will scroll long as the position arrow moves. So you can follow your position even if you don't have a route planned.

I often leave it on that for shorter trips, if I kind of know where I am going so that I don't need to listen to the lady telling me every turn of the journey.
