Garmin Streetpilot C310 Maps - newbie !

Hi there.

First post - please be gentle. Not sure if this is the right forum, if not - please redirect me.

Anyway, my query ... just purchased a Garmin Streetpilot C310 - which I am very happy with. The installed software is city navigator NT v8.0

However, a couple of my mates, who live in very newly built house, do not show up - postcodes not recognised.

Isd there a site where I can download the latest data? If so how often does it update? And also, is it free?

Would appreciate any info so i can get optimum use out of it!!!! (Especially as i'm still not 100% sure where my mate lives!!!).

unfortunately the map updates for new roads etc are not regularly forthcoming the only way to find your mate is to get the nearest road name and type that in
