Rolling Eyes
Hi a newbie to this forum, very good it is.
Having played around for the weekend I have added this sites very useful camera data base into my XdaII with tomtom2 and all works fine.
I have also loaded CheckPOInt's database.
It would appear that both do not have each others data. so are running side by side all ok.
The Q is why do you not collarberatea nd combine databases to give a more uniform front end.
Brgds

It's a fair question. We don't collaborate because we want to maintain the integrity of our data. We go to considerable efforts to keep it so and always act to remove incorrect entries in our database when we are made aware of them.

Ours is the only one of it's kind that is maintained and updated by humans, the others are automated, new submissions are added automatically without any checks and consequently their accuracy is not what we would desire. Because of this we feel it is important to maintain control to ensure continues to be a respected source of accurate safety camera location data. And we did after all produce it (with a lot of help from our readers) Police

What about having a different symbol for unverified data added from other sources that can then be verified by members of this forum, this could be done as a seperate overlay that could be turned on/off.
Its only that maybe an unverified caution warning is better than no warning at all?.
Regardless keep up the good work and I hope to be able to send you some data from the south coast to improve your 'reliable sources'
Thumbs Up johnwx
