I've seen the odd seller offering TTM5 software only. I guess they've bought the package to replacetheir GPS receiver, and are selling the software on.
I've also seen people selling what are persumably pirate versions of the software for a fiver or so.
I thought that TTM5 had a software code that stopped it being pirated. Is this so? Obviously I'm worried about buying a non-legit copy of the software that won't work. |

I very much doubt that, most software sales (but not all) on E-bay are copies, if it comes supplied with an unregestered Product code, and card, then it possibly is genuine, if you want to make sure you get a fully legal version visit the suppliers advertising to the right of this page, and compare prices - Mike |

It's the Maps that have the Product Code. The Software is freely available from TomTom's Website.

Is that correct?
If thats the case would I be able to download TTmobile 5 software for my Nokia N70 then just pay for the GB&Ireland map?
Will the new map come with a product code?
I can't see how that would work, I'm sure you have to already have a copy of the software with product code BEFORE you can download any new maps, which would surely mean the software also has a product code.

When you buy a Map, you also get the software program. The Product Code is for the Map Activation.
To be able to Download a Map from the Plus Services (which are upgrade maps), you already have to be Registered with a Valid Product.
