I am looking for an all singing all dancing GPS device. My desired requirements would be:

Small unit/large screen
Light weight
Transferable between car/bike/motorbike/walking (inc fittings)
Uk/Eire/Europe street level Maps
Topo maps for hiking
Waterproof (genuinely, not just splash proof)
Bluetooth (tho not essential).
Long Battery life
Fast Satellite pick-up
Strong maintenance of signal (woods, urban canyons etc)
Large internal memory
SD slot
MP3 player (not essential)
Text to voice (i.e. Turn left on Station Street etc)
Fast processor
Postcode search
Vast POI library
Rapid re-calculation of route.
Low price (tho everything is relative)
Simple PC planning tool

Does such a device exist at any cost. As I said, I'm not asking for much! What else would be useful?

Obviously I posted this as I don't think such a thing physically exists, but any opinions on as close as possible would be useful.

I would say buy the TomTom Rider, if only because you can use it on a bike and in the car if nothing else

or wait 2 months until a new certain sat nav comes out that will do exactly what you want(but cost you a fortune!)

Nuvi 360 has a lot of those features. It's not waterproof, and I'm not sure how you could attach it to a bike (though you probably wouldn't want to if it can't keep the rain out). Probably be considered to be a bit pricey too, but given what you are asking for how much did you expect to pay? And it hasn't got topo maps, though I believe they are available for N. America.

Satellite acquisition time is good, route recalculation happens within 50 yards of going off route, has bluetooth, text to speech, street level mapping for Europe, large screen compared to the size of the unit, MP3 player, SD card ability, JPEG viewer, and Travel guides and Language guides are available as an optional extra.

Probably comes as close as anything out there (doesn't make cups of tea though!)

your looking at a pda really especially for he walking bit topo map at present arent available for all in one units but as for battery life youll need a small battery charger
