You can download maps from TomTom's Website, or wait until the next batch of Maps become available. In both cases you cross TomTom's palm with much silver.;)

In other words you have to buy them.
Here's a direct link to the page for downloadable versions of the maps, as you seem unable to find it. http://www.tomtom.com/plus/services/mds.php

And if you think that is unreasonable, just try taking your old atlas back to WH Smith and ask for the new maps free of charge, or go with your map of the UK and expect to be given the French one.

i see what your saying but the fact is they charge you four hundred pounds for a sat nav i could buy 100 atlasses for that ! anyway four hundred is a lot to pay and then be expected to pay for the updates, this sort of money doesnt grow on trees ya know i have a family to support Laughing

Don't get me wrong - I think they are charging too much considering the exponentially increasing volume of sales.

Oh and don't count on the updated maps being any better. You might well pay to download new maps and find the roads you want still aren't in there.

Don't pay to download new maps. I live on an housing estate that has been there for over 5 years (obviously the roads were planned well before that). When I first bought a Tom Tom (very first Go to come out, day of release) I was upset to find my home/estate was not on the maps, despite being on (just about every) other satnavs maps.

Two years later I bought a second unit (300) and found to my horror that the maps appeared to be the same as I already had, certainly my estate was still not listed and to my knwledge I can find no difference between the two sets of maps despite Tom Tom insisting they second set is an updated version!

I'm now loath to update again as getting suckered once is bad enough but allowing it to happen twice is just plain stupid!
