GPS navigation with linux pocket pc

hi

i´v been using pocket pc for navigation when hiking, driving and flying.
however, i would like to switch from windows to linux on desktop, and in order to use pda more nicely in par, would like to install linux on it too. one thing is holding me back: the lack of good navigation programs (that i am aware of).

does anyone know a good software that would work? my primary use is aviation (i use ozi explorer & navgpspro)

I am trying to get gpsdrive to run ( from http://ipkgfind.handhelds.org/result.phtml?query=gps&searchtype=package§ion=) but so far I had more problems with the installation itself (symlinks unsupported). Hint - your storage card should be formatted to ext2 or ext3 . Let me know if you are more lucky...
