Dang; I’ll be in Australia when this is on, otherwise I would go. Will there be a similar event next year?

I'm up in Edinburgh tomorrow and would like to attend your event. I am taking my 9 month old son up as well, would it be ok if he could also attend?

I am afraid to say but I was disappointed in the turn out at the meet both in vendors and members of the GPS fraternity. As a relative newbie I felt a lot of the vendors only spoke to those who had been using the equipment for a while. I tried to get information on a few stands and it was Navman and PocketGPSWorld and the good fellow at Morpethmobiles who took a bit of time to talk to me. I was doubly disappointed that the software I use for the GPS did not turn up although I was speaking to a person a the Brodit stand who thought they should have been there, perhaps the fact that a new version of the software is due for release in July may have something to do with the non appearance.

However one good thing about the low numbers was a least I could park outside the venue with no trouble and that in its self is no mean feat in Edinburgh.

Hopefull the next one in Scotland will be better attended by all.

Two of us made the journey from Cambs and got a flight from Stansted to attend. I was also surprised at the low numbers of the public. At least you could move around quite freely. I dont suppose the weather helped. At least if you had any questions you could get in and ask. I thought the fella from ViaMichelin was very informative. The only thing I didnt like was that you had to be there at 1400 for the raffle to take place and claim your prize. It was a shame you couldnt purchase the tickets and be informed by email or whatever that you had won... Still, we enjoyed it.

It did look quiet at times, but that was because the hall was huge! Even a thousand people passing through over the four hours couldn't hope to fill it.

Those who went to the last bash in Basingstoke will know why we booked so big a venue. Basingstoke looked a lot busier (we were packed in like sardines!), but in fact there were much less attendees. Perception's a funny thing eh? Smile

Many thanks for all those that attended and made it an enjoyable day!
