I have a HP 2210 which I want to use to access the internet via bluetooth. My desktop pc has a permenant broadband connection and has a bluetooth usb receiver (belkin F8T001) , which i am able to connect to my ipaq for activesync .

I'm trying to set it up so i can get onto the web through bluetooth, however, when i set it up using the wizard on the ipaq, i get to the connecting... window.... which says :

Connecting to: BT Network Access
Using: Bluetooth Null Modem

Dialing: Connect

However this takes forever.

What am I doing wrong, what could the problem be ?

TIA

Simon

Mike has done more Bluetooth network setup than me, but the way I would do it is to just connect to ActiveSync over Bluetooth, by default you will then have net access through this connection.

I would just make sure you've got a bond between the PC and Pocket PC, then get ActiveSync to Bluetooth.

If all you need is internet access over BT then the best and easiest way to do it is using ActiveSync as Dave says. You can get full network access by configuring a network bridge on your PC and then a network connection on your PDA, but this is far more complex.

When I have a spare moment I am going to write a BT connectivity guide that will hopefully explain these configurations with a step by step instruction section.
