Hi
This may be obvious to everyone but not to me.
If you use the X at the top of the screen when you have finished with TT this only minimises TT which continues to run in the background and can cause problems with the bluetooth browser contantly looking for a device and not allowing the PDA to switch off discharging the batteies and loosing the data. Laughing
I ALWAYS shut down TT completley with the file-exit comand.
May be of help to other thickies like me.
Kev

The tip also applies to all applications. The close X at the top right of the screen isn't a close function, but a "lets put the application into background memory". If more memory is required, one of the apps in background memory will be closed, but most of the time they stay open.

The best way to close other apps is to get a taskbar utility like Pelmar's WisBar Advance.

I had one of those taskbar utilities installed and found it caused more problems with TT Bluetooth than usual.

The BT screen would come up to select a device, device selected and TT starts, then BT screen came back, (repeat until annoyed)
I noticed that the GPS icon at the bottom right would disappear each time, and assumed that taskbar utility was killing it. (backgorund task??)

Uninstalled the utility and everything was back to 'normal'

For TTNav2, simply pull up the on screen meny in Navigator mode (v2.07 or later) and cycle through the menu screens until you see the Exit Icon, clcik this and TTNav will exit and unload.

Or you could assign a hardware button to exit TT2 like I have done, but this only works in Navigation mode.
