Can anyone shed any light on why I cannot get checkpoint to work with TTnav2 and an IPaq 3970. It installs OK but when you try to run it the icon appears in the bottom right of the screen. If you tap the checkpoint icon nothing happens, in fact the ipaq seems grind to a halt.
Thanks for any help given. |

Hi Spewy,
What versions of TTNav2 and Checkpoint are you running? Most people tend to run Checkpoint 2.0.2.0 as the later versions use a synchronisation service which has been known to cause problems.
Have you ticked the boxes in Checkpoint for:
Automatically start TTNav when Checkpoint is started.
Automatically stop Checkpoint when TTNav is stopped.

Thanks for replying Privateer. The check point version is 3.2. The navigator version is 2.08 for GPS and 2.24 for the main programme.
I cannot get checkpoint to function at all to play with any of the settings. Perhaps I should try going back to an older version of Checkpoint. Have you any ideas where I can download the older versions.
Thanks for your help

Hi Spewy,
It sounds like you have the latest version of checkpoint. The 2.0.2.0 version can be downloaded from http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=viewdownload&cid=3 from Pocket GPS.
I must admit that I don’t know if it’s best to remove Checkpoint first, or just overwrite it with the older version. You may want to look through the rest of the entries in the Checkpoint forum.
If your GPS Driver ( 2.08 ) is working OK with TTNav then I’d leave it well alone! ;-)
Good luck.

Thanks Privateer I have installed version 2 of checkpoint and everything is working fine. Thanks for your help. A bit of a mystery why the latest version didn't work though.
Thanks again
