Ipaq gps and sunshine

I have an Ipaq which I use for with TomTom GPS software. Has anyone had a problem with an Ipaq in the car and sunlight affecting the performance of the unit?
I can imagine that at sometime the unit will be in direct sunlight and this may have a detrimental effect on the screen.

The only problem you are likely to have with sunlight in the car is if you have "Receive all incoming beams...." on. Go to Settings,Connections, Beam, and make sure Receiving is not ticked. There was quite a discussion on these forums about the problems / interference caused, having this on.
