We have in review the RoyalTek RBT-3000 Bluetooth GPS Receiver.

This supports SBAS (WAAS/EGNOS), 12 channels all-in-view, a 10 hour battery and a complete data logging system built into the GPS capable of supporting up to 30,000 records.

The RoyalTek RBT-3000 supports NMEA-0183 v2.2. We should have a review available within the next week for this new Bluetooth Receiver.

It seems to have the best battery life of a Bluetooth GPS yet according to the GPSpassion tests - http://www.gpspassion.com/fr/articles.asp?id=55&page=4 they don't know the battery rating though, do you have it?

Well, the dozen or so battery tests I've performed on the RBT-3000 all come out between 7h and 7h30m battery life, and this is in constant chatter mode, with Pocket PC connected receiving the NMEA stream.

That's a disappointment! Wonder what the difference is due to.
Maybe they hadn't turned on the data logger? Do you think that it uses extra power?

Just been to RoyalTek's site and seen a new bluetooth model, RBT-3100:

Replaceable Lion Battery

Dimensions: 70mm x 41mm x 23mm
Weight: 60g

View on RoyalTek's site: RBT-3100

Doesn't say whether the battery time is as good or better than the previous 3000, but looks good on paper - so when's the review coming??? :D

As soon as it arrives, it's basically a cut down version of the 3000 without datalogger.
