Advice Required.

I am trying to put together a incar sat nav system. I have a ipaq 3630 with a fortuna U2 reciever. Not liking to buy software without trying it, I got a copy of Navigator1 UK. I'm so impressed that Navigator 2 plus the western Europe maps are now on the xmas list. I have a couple of queries though. With the copy version in and the 16MB map of Newcastle, I can no longer sync with my main PC, but the software works perfectly. With Checkpoint (latest download) installed, I can not exit Navigator or Checkpoint without a soft reset. Is this because I need to put the map info on a Compact flash which will give the ipaq memory more room. Also if I had a UK map on a 128MB card and the France map on a 256MB card, can I just shut my ipaq down, swap cards and then power up and change maps. Could someone please answer these for me before my wife shells out £240. It would be nice if TomTom did 30 day demo's.

Found the sync problem. Tomtom not closed down and using comm port.

This can happen alot, you can also find that ActiveSync causes problems sometimes, and also keyboard drivers.

Best thing is to use iTask or another program like WisBar Advance to manually close applications.
