Bluetooth advice

Driving my car with the roof down I find that the volume levels of the voice instruction of the Navman 3450/iPAQ 3970 combination are only just audible. If I purchased a bluetooth earpiece would the voice instructions be transferred from the system to the earpiece ? the other alternative I considered was to wire in a small speaker located between the seats to the earpiece output of the iPAQ but that would involve long lengths of wire through the passenger compartment, the lighter power supply wiring always looks a mess so I was keen to see if any form of wireless communication could be used.

Dont think the pocket PC you have supports the bluetooth headset profile. this would be required to affect a connection between it and the b/t headset.
