I have the following recurring problems can you help please?

1.Often my Toshiba 350 will default to Tomtom when I am trying to use other programmes. Even when I exit and end application, tomtom will restart.

2.GPS assist will not start from the icon.

3.Tomtom will work fine one day but report ‘GPS position unreliable’ the next and be unusable.

4.POI warning has work fine, but now I'v lost the audio warning.

Can you help please.

I have exactly the same problems. I have tried to un-install and then re-install but it makes no difference. It may be of interest to readers that I work in a retail outlet and we have had many complaints concerning the Assist program. I have now deleted it and have no intention of using it again until all the bugs are sorted out.

Following the comments from Torchy, I have also deleted the assist programme (for which I have paid the licence fee). My system now works fine. Can anyone recommend a POI warning program?

I use CheckPOInt 2.0.2 from this site's download page. It's free, and works perfectly.

CheckPOInt 3 is less suited to use with the PocketGPS speed camera database.
