Sorry cannot help you with that, but thinking of upgrading my Navman ICN630 v3 to the new Becker unit, as it has postcodes and the map display looks (from the screen shots) much better (and different) to all the other units out there
How have you found the unit? |

on whole i think its very good
not al the maps are installed you would need a 2GD card for that,
the rest of the maps con on a cd,
there is only 1 voice to giude you on it well 2 us english and uk english both women voices bit naf guidence is clear and percise althowe not used it for long distance yet.
its not full post code search but i knew that key in first 3 or 4 didgets it finds the city then you can enter street name door number or road intersection.
its switch's between 2D & 3D mode it gives visual view of next turn and the 1 after.
POI they are on there ie garage hotels shopping centre's.
no speed cams as yet hopefully i have tried but not sure how to convert them. if you want to read the manual let me know its on cd 4.01 i culd zip it then send it to you.
i have had 3 now garnan i3 witch i think gives the best voice guidence Sony NVXP1 witch out the box and back in inside box in hour i thought it was crap.(my thoughts).
as for the becker i am keeping it better than sony and garman i3.
only gripe is only 1 voice and just got to get use to the voice guidance.
for instance bear right could be turn right. |

Thanks for the info. Either going to be the Becker or the Garmin Nuvi 300 ... just cannot decide! If anyone has used both, let me know! :D |

I'm trying to make the same choice myself. Though the Becker has European maps(which I'd only use 3 weeks per year), the Nuvi has Sirf 3 and full postcode search. I'm leaning towards the Nuvi. |

i wished i'd gone for that now
used it to go to derby just to see witch way it would take me and i must admit it took me the way i go without it it was spot on
now i used the garman i3 and that kept sending the long way round evan when i went the way i go it kept trying to turn me around,
then when i got into kegworth it told me to turn left up a dead end for som reason.
i have been intouch with becker and they have said they are not going to do spead cam POI.
voices only 2 us english uk english both same voice female only diference
is us axcent
becker's responce wot other english is there now just a minor gripe but male voice diferent tones in both male/female other than that.
sort of pleased.
this time next year give it the wife get better one |
