Help, cant figure this out

Hi, new to this site but had a good read, got a problem, I have a classic road angel, which has serial gps output, i have a HP ipaq 3950, Got tom tom 5 on flash card, bought a null modem and serial-hp cable from expansys, but tom tom will not detect gps device even tho i activated it on my RA and set port on tom tom, any ideas??

The set up should work, unless you do not have a "proper" null modem adapter.

Set Tom Tom to other cable NMEA GPS and Com 1.
