Thanks for the reply Lutz, is the "ding dong gatso" correct then I do not remember having it before?

Well, it was there all the time. You are confusing our file version with the other ones floating around.

Hi
I,ve now successfully upgraded to 5.42 and loaded the new Data check (5643), and I,ve finally got it all working with all the voice prompts EXCEPT the Gatso 70 warning.
I've checked through all the spoken warnings and it is the ONLY one missing Confused
Has anyone else had this problem? Sad

Steve

No, because it is a non-problem. Gatso 70 was never included. http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/tomtom-poi-alerts.php

Within the camera datbase that I downloaded form your site is a file containing a variety .wav files that when played via windows media are camera warnings. are these not suitable for inclusion on the sd card, and then 'assigned' to the camera type? For instance there is a 30s and 10s warning for a red-light camera. How do you assign 2 sound files per POI?

I am relatively new to this?

They can't be used on a GO. They are for the PDA Navigator programs, that have the capability to play them.

Thanks. As for the dat.chk files, the download page refers to a greater number of camera types than available from the camera database. The continential type in the go 300 is not mentioned in the POI/ camera list on the data chk download page.

Could you please explain how the 2 are related i.e the camera database and the data chk list. Sorry, but I'm missing a simple connection I expect!!

Thanks

The data.chk only holds 15 voices or sounds. There is no connection between the data.chk sounds and the PoIs. You go to Prefs/Manage PoI/Warn when near PoI and then choose the sound/voice you want to match the PoI. Obviously you choose the most appropriate. Where there is no specific voice matching the speed, just use the general one.

Hi , downloaded 5.420 and all was well until i was enabling the bells cows etc when I spotted further specs categories with speed zones in them. I have just got the sound "specs" attached to them unless i am missing something?? If not can I assume that Ray and colleagues will come back with a new voice set up for these speed camera alerts?

cheers
Keith
