Hi, recently bought a hp4700 and a thinknavi cradle with tt5.1 only to find that due to having a heated windscreen i can't get a first fix for a good 10 to 15 mins, the extremly nice people at handtec have offered to exchange the cradle for a tomtom bluetooth receiver but i'll need a new cradle, would prefer a suction one for the window if poss, any suggestions? Many Thanks!

I would go along with Seidio mount. I have the G2500 Amplified Mount which I bought last January for about £55. Very reliable, plugs into lighter socket, also cable for power to GPS BT receiver if required. Takes a bit of effort to remove from screen when finished with so no chance of falling off when driving.

Make sure whatever you get is an amplified set-up, the speaker in the 4700 does not like being driven at full volume for too long - it will break - the amplified set-up is the way to go - Mike

Thanks all, I've found that by shifting the cradle to the far right of the screen i get fixes alot quicker and more reliable positions too! An extension lead for the power supply tucked away, even tidied up the single cable that was showing, result! Thanks for the info on the hp4700 speaker, wasn;t aware that it didn't have a long life, will definitly be digging out the cable to hook it up straight to the cradle now. Much appreciated everyone. :-)
