The TomTom GO has got a bit of a reputation for suffering from reflections in strong sunlight making the screen difficult to read. There have been a number of attempts to overcome this, from screen protectors to screens.

The latest of the screen products is the Glarestomper II from BidNutMan. This is made from a felt like fabric that fits behind the front bevel and shields the top and sides from sunlight.

Thanks for the review, Mike. This sounds like a great accessory for the TT300 that I have been using. I'll try to check it out.

Hi.
Tried the glarestomper a couple of months ago. Did not personally rate it. It was very fiddly to fit and then when you tried to fold it back the edges would work themselves loose.
Like the idea but hopefully someone will adapt another style sooner than later. The item is very cheap, it's a case each to there own!.

It is a bit fiddly to fit, but once it's on, it's not going anywhere if done properly!
Don't know why you would be 'folding it back' as you fold it in front of the screen when packing away.
Excellent product.

As I said Each to their own. Re-folding back, but edge on mine even though PROPERLY FITTED they did come off.

I am very happy with my GareStomper. I'm using it on a TTG Classic (hence a highly reflective screen) in combination with a glare reducing screen protector. It is a rare situation where I have an unreadable screen. I highly recommend this product. For the price, it is unbeatable.

Agree with Zaki. It is much easier to put on and take off if not required. And is great at cutting down glare.

Ah ok great thanks. Seeing as theyre inexpensive, might as well give it a try. Im confused about whether they are OEM tomtom visors, as the logo and legal look great.
