Does anyone know if there is a limit to the number of POIs on a TTG 700?? I've downloaded a reasonable number via POI Sync (probably 40 or so) and when I transfer them to the TTG, only some of them appear e.g. POIs starting with letters A, B, C and D are there but none starting with E, F, G H and beyond! I'm guessing it might be limited to 50 and when you've got the standard ones that come with the unti, it only leaves 10 or so fgor you own POIs??????

Thanks in advance.

There have been LOADS of posts about this. Here's the most concise:

If you want more (40), 'upgrade' to v5.1 software Smile

Absolutely!! 40 is not enough for the 700. Evil or Very Mad

40 was not enough for a single country.

Thr program has to keep a record, in memory, of what it has to know about.

So a section of memory was set aside to handle this information, and in TomTom's case this put a limit on the number of POI's it can handle.

Unfortunately TT under estimated the use that POI's would be put to, mainly because of the inaccuracies of the built in categories.
