Hi,
It appears that a few people are saying that CP4.5 is a lot more stable than CP5, but the Maps in CP5 have a lot more detail. If that is the case, would it be possible to run CP4.5 with map files from Version 5?
A few people have claimed that there seems to be a lag in CP5 when updating the map display (or is it lag of executing the voice message). I am just wondering if version 5 has more build in smart and hence demanding more CPU power (for number crunching) from the handheld device? I have a Mio 168 (which probably just sitting ont he bottom end of the hardware requiement). Thanks.
Unfortunately you can't interswitch map data between versions. This would become a licensing issue with NAVTEQ so we have to protect against this.
With regards to CPL5 being slower than 4.5. Yes, you may find this on older devices, like iPAQ 3800 series where the processor is slower, e.g. sub 300MHz, but on most of the newer Pocket PC's you'll find it just as fast if not faster.
It all boils down to the release of operating system, the processor speed and RAM.
