RGM 2000 and dell axim

Be gentle with me im a GPS virgin!!



Ok i have bought a royaltek RGM2000 for my dell axim, problem is that when i plu it into the car the dell just slows down terribly to the point of locking up, any suggestions?

This can usually happen if something is listening for data on the bottom sync (serial) port of the Pocket PC. I doubt you have any external keyboards installed, but if you do then disable the driver within the Dell otherwise this can cause problems.



Also you may want to open up the ActiveSync icon on the PPC and when you connect the GPS see if this starts turning green and spinning. If it does, then it's ActiveSync trying to connect, in which case you may need to disable ActiveSync when you want to plug in the GPS.
