French Database

Hi,

Looing at loading up the French speed camera database on my Quest but having a few minor issues - just wondered if anyone who has already done this can help answer a few questions?

1. The GPSPasSion site shows a graphic with a nice map of France with coloured dots as per the UK speed camera overlay - anyone know which of the databases this is and if it can be loaded on the Quest (my French is a bit basic - tried a few of the downloads, converting with POI forrmat conversion where required).
2. In mapsource I can inport a waypoint database - when I inport another it clears the first!!! (i.e. the fixed and mobile cameras....). Whatam I doing wrong (prob q simple, but...)?? How can I get both database on my unit?

Many thanks to anyone who can help - lots of useful GPS 'stuff' here and on the web - I'm new to all this - but learning fast I hope.

The GPSPassion site has the fixed camera sites available free of charge. If you want the full database including all the mobile sites, then you need to either
Pay a subscription to GPSPassion

or

Send them details of a new camera

I use it with my Navigon and it is v useful. The French judical system has no concept of "a fair trial". Euro750 bond + Euro750 fine was handed out to a bike speeding in a 70 kph area. (He was doing 160Kph!!)
