Am I correct in thinking they only exist on roadworks?
Reason I ask is that her indoors swears blind there are speed cameras on motorways in general. I suspect she's thinking of the bridge mounted devices, and the high poles on the side with camera (trafficmaster)?
I never really paid much attention, till today when I was on the M1.
Was passing under a bridge 'camera' and saw two green lights on it, one flashed as I went under which unnerved me a bit, as I was over the limit (who isn't on a motorway?!).
Also, I saw some SPECS cameras on the M1 roadworks near Leicester, but I don't recall seeing any others... Do they only exist on roadworks? |

Also, I've just read on ukspeedtraps that the test site for SPECS was in Nottingham, which is where I went. Does anyone know if there are still SPECS along the A610, as I distinctly remember seeing the poles in http://www.ukspeedtraps.co.uk/specs/specs1.jpg along the road, but I don't think there were any cameras.... (I really hope not :x)
Thanks..

Not at all, the M25 has them in the variable speed section and I have seen a safety camera van operating at the side of the M25 in the Surrey Section. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Yes bwgames, there are SPECS cameras on the A610 in both directions. I went along there just last week.
