I have got all the apps and the voices working together but am using data.chk 5.200 (5244) as ScaredyCat Apps are running on 5.202 and not 5.100. This may be your problem as you say you are on 5158 which is for version 5.100.
I have not tried 5.201(5252) yet as it wasn't there last week to download.

For ScaredyCat

In the UK current time is UTC/GMT +1, with the timezone set to +1 the 'What Time is it' app shows the correct time but the clock on the status bar shows UTC/GMT and consequently arrival time for a route is also UTC/GMT. Is there any way of changing this - So status bar time is also same as 'What Time'?

Odd works fine here, even if I set it as +1 (i'm in +2) - are you sure you don;t touch the built in clock application? If you do it *looks* like the ttg app ignores the real clock...

Seem to have found the answer to this problem. For some reason the internal clock was only resetting to 23:00 and not 00:00 every time I used the hard reset switch.
If you ran the 'What Time App' immediately after reset and switch on it said time/date was 01 Jan 2005 00:00 00, but status bar was at 23:00. Why I do not know.
But having used the Change Preferences Menu 'Reset Factory Settings' then done a hard reset to start from scratch the clock now starts at 00:00. A couple of minutes later SatSync runs and corrects the Status Bar and What Time App to UTC/GMT +1 when the TZ is also set to +1. :D

Also if you powerdown the Go with the 'What Time' App running it appears to freeze on next startup - I presume this pobably due to the app running at the time but would it be possible to reduce length of time it displays the time/date for? Only a minor niggle if at all but they are great apps. and otherwise work flawlessly on my TTG500. Great work. :D

Will look at this, is a couple of seconds enough to see the time?

To be honest do not worry about this one too much as the problem was only noticed in trying to correct the first time snag! I seem to spend too much time enjoying the challenge of tweaking my TTG than using it! (Must get out more!) But if you want to tweak it (and have the time, pardon the pun) then about 5 secs would be ideal. Thanks in advance.

Riddler.

Reload your last system before you put on scaredy's quickcam.

Check everything is OK.

If you are not at 5.201 then update to 5.201 from the TomTom site

Pick up the 5252 sound file from this site. Load and check out.

Save this setup

Rename the datachk file (the new 5252 one which works) to "working_data.chk"

Put scaredy's apps back on including his 5.202 update. Sort out the location of quickcam (you know how to do all this now).

Then rename scaredy's cdatachk to "old" or something and rename your "working_data.chk" to data.chk.

This should sort everything out. Scaredycat's apps work fine with the PocketGPS voice files.

I might be missing something, but I installed the applications and gave them a good test on the way up to Leeds today - thanks for the work!

What bugged me was it insisted on changing the screen to 'Night' sevaral times during the journey. This happened several times as I mentioned between 7.00-9.30 this morning.

Short of editing the startup file to remove the autoswitch, is there a way to make it work a little more in time with what the sun is doing?

My timezone is set to UTC+2 (I'm in the UK).

Ok, forst of all do you also run satsync? The autoswitcher app uses the os date/time, if it's not set (ie satsync hasn't run) then the date it Saturday 1st Jan 2005 and the time is actually the number of hours minutes and seconds the Go has been up for.

If you're in the UK then you are currently at UTC +1 not +2...

Suggests to me that your Go was last reset 3 days 2 hours and 29 minutes ago. Have you run SatSync? Did you see the "SatSync time sync" message?

Basically, your clock has not been set.

I gave up with it all and put back my old system files, as I couldnt get the speaking camera warnings to work when using the 5202, as my tom tom 700 and App 5202 was not listed on the camera voice option page - just the one before it 5201, so thats what I am back on - with real voices and not Mooooooooo Boing............

Is there any other program I can install that I can use to add new cameras to the list, and also send them to PocketGPS ?

One other point, is there any way I can give you an address/postcode/ or map reference to a camera that i THINK everyone should know about (if there are no other programs I can use)

Yes simply send your captured camera ov2 files to cameras@pocketgpsworld.com and we will include them in the next release of the database.

To do this all you need to do is copy the MyCameras.ov2 file from your map directory (Great_Britain_Map on the Classic and GO300 Great_Britain_Plus_Map on the GO500 or Western_Europe_Map on the GO700 ) and attach it to an email. It would be a good idea to rename the MyCameras.ov2 on your GO then to avoid sending in the same cameras next time.

As far as sending in cameras with no capture app, you can stop (safely) and then manually add a point of interest into a new category and send it to us.

You could just replace the data.chk file that came with 5.202 with your old 5.201 version.. it'll work fine.

Not that I'm aware of, you'll need to stop and add them manually..
