Tomtom GPS sometimes not found

Ok heres a weird one for anyone

Why is it when i run TTM with the Tomtom BT GPS allready switched on it rarley sees the GPS unless i go into the configure screen at which point it will either immed see it and get a fix within a split second or you will have to reselect the GPS and then it works.

ANy thoughts?

it is possible that your phone has already paired with the gps receiver, and of course a lot of mobile phones only allow one pairing at a time.
