I'm looking for a GPS system with good coverage of Finland, the majority including Navman/TomTom have very limited coverage of just the area around Helsinki

Can anyone recommend one?

Garmin (using Navteq maps) claim to cover Espoo, Helsinki, Joensuu, Jyväskylä, Kauniainen, Kotka, Kouvola, Kuopio, Lahti, Lappeenranta, Oulu, Pori, Tampere, Turku, Vaasa and Vantaa.

I have only been to Helsinki so I don't know how good the coverage of the rest of Finland is, but looking at their maps on my PC, the coverage is a lot better than they take credit for on their website.

Go to http://www.garmin.com/cartography/mapSource/cityselectEuro.jsp and click on the link to the "Mapsource Map Viewer" and zoom in on a few areas you know and see how good the maps are.

If you do buy a Garmin, then make sure you get your free upgrade to the latest v7 maps which have vastly improved coverage.

If you buy a system from some other supplier which uses the same Navteq maps as Garmin do then make sure they offer the same coverage - some of them use older maps.
