Ok, this is just getting annoying now,

Every so offen (maybe between every 10 or 15 uses),

The Disclaimer screen pop's up before I can use TTN5 again,

To tell me the first time I install and use TTN5 is ok, People should be told that using the device while driving is not a good idea,

But only once!

This has resulted in me having to tap the screen while driving to get rid of the disclaimer!!!

I get in the car,
Turn on GPS,
Put PDA in cradle,
Press my quicklaunch button,
And then set off,
30 seconds into the journey, DISCLAIMER,

I don't always use TTN5 to direct me to where I want to go, but also to remind me where the black spots are (Camera points) and also to log my journey (Which doesn't exist anymore).

Anyone know how to stop it popping up so offen?

I know it's a small rant, but it's another in a long list,

Carl,

TomTom are notorious for not verifying if a previous instance is running already. Back in TTN3 you could riun as many instances as your RAM would permit - and each of them would come up with the legal screen.

Maybe it's the same in TTN5 and you inadvertedly have started the program twice?

I will keep an eye on how offen or if after a certain start up procedure the disclaimer pops up,

Carl,

Found it,

When I start TTN5 with the PDA off using a hardware button, I always get the disclaimer screen up,

This also happens if I turn the PDA on and quickly start TTN5,

TTN5 needs over 5 seconds of the PDA being on before you can start TTN5,

This is what I belive is causing the disclaimer to keep appearing,

Carl,

Any way to disable the disclaimer altogether?

There are some solutions like destirobot that emulate keypresses/screen taps. Those could surely be adjusted to work with TomTom.

I've been getting this too, and it's driving me nuts Evil or Very Mad

I also get prompted for which map to use when this happens. I will now try to isolate if the cause for me is the same as you describe.

I think you will find it is due to the time the PDA requires to initialise the SD card after start up.

If the SD card is not initialised then TomTom can't find the maps and up comes the disclaimer screen.

I you remove the SD card and try and start TomTom you will get the same message.

If you start the PDA with a TomTom quicklaunch button the card is not ready and you get the disclaimer screen, by the time you have accepted the screen the SD card is ready and you get asked which map you require if you have more than one map installed.

One solution is not to exit TomTom before putting the PDA into standby. The quicklaunch buttons then seem to work since TomTom accessed the maps previously.
