Can anybody help? I recently changed from a 3830 to a 3950 Ipaq and basically my INS no longer works.

I've tried all sorts to get it working (hard resets/soft resets re-installing etc etc. The Jacket has been replaced under warranty and the machine has also been back to Compaq, where they say all is fine.

The prog starts up OK, but after selecting my destination and clicking Go ( GPS receiving is enabled )after a few seconds a message saying " No GPS Signal Please check connections". It displays the same message after a two hour drive!! and even after being left switched on in my car all day ( I don't have a metalised windscreen BTW )

I'm really at a loss as to what to do next so any pointers would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks Niall

I get this sometimes. Try re-engaging the sleeve which may take several attempts despite getting the expansion pack OK message. Otherwise you could try this GPS info application which is a 3rd party software to check that you are receiving a signal. Select and install the GPS info application from the website link.

Hi,

Whenever I have had this problem I now always make sure the Ipaq is on when exchanging expansion packs. Also I make sure the Co-Pilot software is in guidance mode on the previous exit of the application.

I have never had a problem since.
